Described as being the first witch, Neena is an evil female magical creature who is almost as mysterious as her origins, her true history and goals are clouded in as much darkness as she is. She is said to be over four centuries old, being present during the birth of Melinda Warren, the great, great, great, great, great grandmother of Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell as well as Paige Matthews.
Neena has displayed the powers typical of most witches such as Spell Casting and Potion Making as well as the demonic powers of Fire Throwing allowing her to project jets of flames at her victims engulfing them in fire, Energy Beams allowing her to shoot bolts of energy and Portal Creation, giving her the ability to send a victim to alternate realms and dimensions.
Neena's Culmination Throughout the Comics[]
Initially, Neena was working with a low-level Warlock known as Hogan, who possessed the power to amplify rage, a power referred to by some as Power of Discord. The first we see of Neena is when she is in a demonic nightclub known as Luscious. When their conversation is interrupted by an Angel of Destiny, Neena uses her power of Portal Creation to send the Angel to an unknown realm. Neena comments she is uncertain where her victims go when she uses the power. When the demon the two are waiting for shows up at the club, his name is revealed as Weasel and he hands Hogan a map. Weasel, fond of touching Neena, strikes a nerve with Neena and she flicks her hand at Weasel, engulfing him in flames, destroying him.
Neena then travels to a cave near Golden Gate Bridge with Hogan, the cave serves as an entrance to the Underworld, and the two make their way through the illuminate cave. Neena and Hogan are shocked by what they see - a gated entrance made of bones, near dead mortals hanging on the walls, monstrous birds flying around and a large stream of lava. The two then converse with a large vapor like being who requests that the two follow his instructions. Afterwards, Neena and Hogan hunt down and kill Paige Matthews' latest charge, Brent, a male witch.
