Rathmere

Leaving behind a sensational legacy of magic, Rathmere was a powerful Wizard that possessed an array of magical powers and created over five hundred spells and potions. He disappeared mysteriously in 1904 but in Spring 2004 it was revealed that Rathmere was captured by a Spider Demon who kept him imprisoned in her lair, feeding on his power.

The Spider Demon[]

Emerging from her lair once every one hundred years in search of the most powerful magical being in existence so that she can feed on their power, the Spider Demon left her lair in 1904 and sensed that Rathmere possessed vast magic power. She captured him and brought him back to her lair where she began to feed on him. In 2004, the Spider Demon emerged from her lair once again in search of the most magical being she could find; this led her to Piper Halliwell and her unborn child. While tracking Piper, the demon retreated to her lair after her first attempt to capture Piper and her baby and fed on Rathmere one final time. She stuck her claws in Rathmere sucking the last of his power, killing him, causing him to whither to nothing but bone.

Magical Tome[]

In a Magical Tome at Magic School, an entry on Rathmere existed. The entry was emphasized by an illustration of Rathmere's wand and the following description of who he is, it read thus:

Rathmere
A wizard of unknown
age and uncertain origins
Rathmere once possessed
vast magical power. He is
credited with more than
500 magical spells
and potions and would be a force
to rival any if not for his
mysterious disappearance in 1904.
All that remains as evidence
of his existence are his wand
and his legacy of magic.
