Seamus Patrick Dever was born on July 27th, 1976 in Flint, Michigan but grew up in Bullhead City, Arizona. He was valedictorian of his graduating class. Seamus attended Northern Arizona University for his undergrad studies and then he went on to receive MFAs in Acting from The Moscow Art Theatre and Carnegie-Mellon University - he is the youngest member to have completed this program.
Seamus has starred in such shows as Castle and McBride and has recurring roles on the television series Army Wives and General Hospital. He has also appeared in over 50 stage productions, most recently in King Lear as the character Edmund and in A Clockwork Orange. Seamus is also a member of the Anteus Company - Los Angeles' premiere classical theater company as well as a lifetime member of the Actor's Studio. Seamus is now a series regular on the television show Castle.
